Terms of Service

These terms govern your purchase and use of Automatic Document Generator for Umbraco ("the Software"), published by Waqas Labs ("we", "us"). By installing or using the Software you agree to them.

1. What you are buying

The Software is a plugin for Umbraco CMS, distributed as a NuGet package. You are buying a licence to use pre-built software. You are not buying a service, consultancy, custom development, or access to any artificial intelligence provider.

2. Licence

Subject to payment, we grant you a non-exclusive, non-transferable licence to install and use the Software on up to five (5) installations for the duration of your subscription. An installation means one Umbraco site or one developer workstation.

You may not:

• redistribute, resell, sublicense or publish the Software or your licence key;
• remove or circumvent the licensing mechanism;
• decompile or reverse engineer the Software except where that right cannot lawfully be excluded.

3. Free tier

The Software includes a free tier limited to five generations per site and three screenshots per generation. No payment or account is required to use it. We may change the limits of the free tier for future releases.

4. Third-party AI providers

The Software requires an API key for a third-party AI provider (Google Gemini, OpenAI, Anthropic Claude, or a self-hosted Ollama instance). You obtain and pay for that access directly from the provider. We do not resell, proxy, host or mark up AI usage, and we are not a party to your relationship with that provider.

Content you submit to your chosen provider is governed by that provider's terms and privacy policy. We have no visibility of it. You are responsible for ensuring you have the right to submit any designs or other material you process with the Software.

5. Output

The Software generates Umbraco Document Types, Element Types and content based on material you supply. You own that output. Because it is produced by an AI model, it may contain errors or omissions, and you are responsible for reviewing it before use. The Software presents everything it intends to create for your approval before writing anything to your site.

6. Payment, renewal and cancellation

Subscriptions renew automatically until cancelled. You may cancel at any time using the link in your receipt; you retain access until the end of the period already paid for, after which the Software reverts to the free tier rather than ceasing to function.

7. Refunds

If the Software does not work as described, contact us within 14 days of purchase for a full refund. The free tier exists so you can evaluate the Software on a real project before paying.

8. Support

Paid licences include support by email. We aim to respond within two working days. Support covers the Software itself; it does not cover your Umbraco installation, your hosting, or your AI provider account.

9. Warranty and liability

The Software is provided "as is", without warranty of any kind to the fullest extent permitted by law. We are not liable for indirect or consequential loss, loss of data, or loss of profit. Our total liability is limited to the amount you paid us in the twelve months before the claim.

Always take a backup before generating into a production site. The Software creates new Document Types rather than modifying existing ones, but you remain responsible for your own data.

10. Changes

We may update these terms for future purchases. The terms you agreed to at the time of purchase continue to apply for that subscription period.
